Karen has studied music for ten years. She attended UC Santa Cruz and earned a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance in 2001. After completing her degree Karen taught music to Elementary and Junior High School aged children working under a grant to provide musical education in under-funded schools. She continues to teach music privately, helping people of all ages learn both piano and harp. Karen has worked as a free lance harpist since 1999. She has been honored to accompany the UC Santa Cruz symphony, wind ensemble, opera and latin american ensembles, in addition to the Monterey Bay Ensemble, Classical to GO, the Gilroy Symphony, and countless weddings and special events.
